How to donate through your Individual Retirement Account (IRA):

You can donate up to $105,000 in 2024 to qualified charities from your traditional IRA, if you are age 70½ or older, without it being considered a taxable distribution. Contact your IRA Trustee to make a qualified charitable donation to Orchestra Nova LA. All qualified charitable distribution checks must be issued by the IRA trustee and made payable to the charity. Our orchestra recently rebranded and we are doing business as Orchestra Nova LA. However, for tax purposes, the orchestra is officially the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra, a qualified 501(c)(3) charity. Your IRA Trustee should make the charitable distribution check payable to “Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra”. Our EIN is 95-3128962. The check should be mailed to 10736 Jefferson Blvd. Unit 766, Culver City, CA 90230. The IRA trustee may send the check directly to the charity, or they may send the check payable to the charity to you, for you to forward to the charity. Please consult you financial or tax advisor before giving.
